Opportunities to Serve

New Monthly Churchwide Clean-up Schedule (starting on October 2nd):  The Building and Property Ministry Team is happy to announce a monthly churchwide clean up schedule. Instead of bi-annual clean up days as in the past, we are now offering an opportunity on the first Saturday of each month to come and help maintain the glorious house the Lord has blessed us with.  Given the size of our facility, there is plenty to be done!  From large to small, from basic to complex, there is sure to be a task just right for your ability.  The clean-up will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with goals each month.  It’s fun, it’s rewarding, and it’s good stewardship of our gifts.  Please plan on joining us each month.  The coffee and doughnuts are on the house!  Please contact Howard Thomas with any questions.

Alexandria Church Merry Makers Needed:  Knit, sew, or crochet newborn warming caps, adult berets, pillow cases, and prayer shawls for patients who are leaving the Hunterdon Medical Center for home.  Visit our display in Fellowship Hall for more information or contact Pati Tiedeman with questions.

Nursery Volunteers Needed!  Help us staff our nursery at our 10:00 a.m. summer service. You must be 18 years old. If interested, please call Cyndi McDowall.

Flower Ministry:  Please Visit the Flower Ministry Calendar hanging on the Fellowship Hall bulletin board to donate to our flower ministry.  Instruction forms are in the folder hanging next to the calendar.  Thank you for your generous support.  Please contact Lois Bondor if you have any questions.

Don't forget to bring in your unused sample-sized shampoos, soaps, and lotions from your travels.   All personal products (including deodorant, toothpaste, shaving needs) are welcome!  Look for the drop-off box in Fellowship Hall.  All donations are brought to the Trenton Rescue Mission for their clients' use.  Please contact Pati Tiedeman if you have any questions.

The Food Pantry is located in the Youth Center and is available to any church member who has a need.  Our pantry also donates to the Frenchtown Food Pantry which feeds up to 18 local families a week.  If you would like to donate, please place your donations in the box in the narthex.  Currently, the Frenchtown Food Pantry is in need of regular ground coffee, canned fruit, canned or packaged soups, and full size personal care products. Thank you for your continued support.  Please contact Jim Hansen or Pat Keefe if you have any questions.
